Level 1 is an all-day course including lunch. It's brief is to cover the necessary skills to drive a vehicle in more extreme off-road situations than experienced on the half day course.
This includes observation, planning and risk assessing on the move whilst tackling obstacles such as water, steep inclines, side slopes, ruts, ditches and mud, glorious mud! This Level 1 Course is open to anyone aged 23+ with full driving licence.
To negotiate these various off road conditions, you will have the option to choose a vehicle from our fleet at the time of booking: a Defender, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery 4 or Freelander; vehicles that really have been everywhere and done everything. You will do the same. What's more you'll be able to enjoy some truly beautiful surroundings. It really is an education and - above all - it's fun.'
A level 2 course, also all day with lunch, is only given to those who have already completed a half-day, or Level 1 session and is an opportunity for them to further improve their skills in all of the above plus self recovery. This course is designed to use the manual Defender although, if an alternative Land Rover vehicle is requested, we will accommodate the Client but the curriculum of the Course may need to be adapted..
